Soh Chun Bin is an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer, with more than 25 years of experience in the corporate finance and legal sectors. He specialises in capital markets and mergers and acquisitions. Chun Bin has advised on many Singapore and international initial public offerings of corporations and real estate investment trusts, including secondary equity and debt fund raising by such entities. His expertise spans many diverse industries, including brick and mortar businesses as such real estate developers to tech companies. Chun Bin has also advised on many cross-border transactions and has a broad network of clients spanning countries such as China, Indonesia and Malaysia. He has been recognized as a leading lawyer by multiple legal publications including Chambers, IFLR, AsiaLaw and was recently selected as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Singapore by Asia Business Law Journal for 2025.

Chun Bin commenced legal practice in 2000. He started his career as a corporate lawyer at a major law firm well known in Singapore for its expertise in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions, and moved on to be one of the early pioneering lawyers at a leading Singaporean law firm. In May 2012, he left legal practice to head up various corporates, including public listed companies, as chief executive, before returning in 2017. Prior to founding Icon Law, Chun Bin was the Head of Capital Markets at the Singapore office of ZICO Law. Chun Bin also sits on the boards of various companies listed on the SGX. He was a former scholar with a global multinational corporation headquartered in Singapore. Chun Bin was also a contributor for “Mergers and Acquisitions in China”, a book published by Thomson/Sweet & Maxwell Asia. He has on occasion presented on topics related to his expertise in various seminars including teaching seminars conducted by the Singapore Institute of Directors

- Initial public offerings, listings of companies and reverse takeovers, including: (i) Goodwill Entertainment Holding, the first listing of a entertainment group on the SGX (Singapore Exchange, Catalist); (ii) GCL Global, a Singapore-based developer, publisher and distributor of video games and content globally (NASDAQ, through a business combination with a SPAC); (iii) HomesToLife, a Singapore-based furniture retailer (NASDAQ); (iv) SMJ International, a Singapore-based distributor of premium flooring (NYSE); (v) Geo Energy Resources Limited (Singapore Exchange, Main Board); (vi) China New Town Development Company Limited (Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, Main Board); (vii) Wee Hur Holdings Ltd (Singapore Exchange, Main Board); (viii) listing of Ying Li International, a Chongqing premier real estate developer of residential and prime commercial property through a reverse takeover.
- Takeovers and/or delistings/exits of, amongst others: (i) Ban Leong Holdings; (ii) Second Chance Limited; (iii) Hai Leck Ltd; (iv) Olive Tree Estates.
- Acting for TCL Zhonghuan Renewable Energy Technology Co. Ltd. (“TZE”) in the restructuring of approximately US$403 million existing convertible notes issued by Nasdaq-listed Maxeon Solar Technologies Ltd and Maxeon’s additional issuance of approximately US$97.5 million new convertible notes to TZE.
