Wy Lu is active in corporate and capital markets work comprising corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions and general commercial advisory and compliance. Notably, she has assisted in a wide range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including initial public offerings in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
Career
Wy Lu commenced legal practice in 2014. She practised in 3 of Malaysia’s leading law firms prior to joining Icon Law.

- Initial public offerings of, amongst others: (i) Sedania Innovator Berhad (Bursa Malaysia, ACE); and (ii) Grand Venture Technology Limited (Singapore Exchange, Catalist).
- Acquisitions and disposals of, amongst others: (i) the Brylchem Group to Euronext Amsterdam-listed giant, IMCD; (ii) the subsidiary of a Malaysian-listed company (in the provision of technology and information systems, accounting, human resource, payroll and other support services) by a PLC in the US; (iii) companies which own online marketplaces in Malaysia, Vietnam and Myanmar for a Norwegian majority state-owned multinational telecommunications company.
- Investments and fundraising of, amongst others: (i) Singapore-listed Metro Holdings into DocMed Technology, the digital healthtech unit of Singapore-listed, Hyphens Pharma International; and (ii) Singapore data centre builder, ACME Associates, into a Thai joint venture with Thailand’s Italthai Engineering.
- Post-IPO actions, including: (i) AirAsia Berhad’s compliance with its continuing obligations under Bursa Malaysia in connection with its disposal of 25 aircraft to Castlelake L.P.; (ii) Hua Yang Berhad’s acquisition of Magna Prime Berhad.
